Escalation
Oil
This is a more abstract painting than I usually do. It’s the result of a recent rather turbulent period in my life and my escalating emotions.
It also represents my feelings of elation having worked through these emotions.
More literally, it is nod to our wonderful Gold Coast oceans and the dresses of Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen, whose show is coming to HOTA soon.
Size: 68 × 76 cm

I stopped to raise my family and only picked up the brushes again about 7 years ago. Now I paint every day! I cannot imagine doing anything else
