Gully’s creek
Oil on polyester
It is down the creek that I find my inspiration. Immersed beneath the trees, the cool breeze and dappled light creates a magical setting. As the sun lowers, the light dances through the foliage, putting on one last show before it sets.
Working both plein air and in the studio on this piece, I really want the viewer to feel as though they are in the creek. As though they can smell the cool air and feel the warm afternoon light on their face.
Size: 91 × 61 cm
