The inspiration for this painting comes from an excerpt from a poem by Hamlin Garland :
"Like liquid gold the wheat field lies, A marvel of yellow and green, that ripples and runs, that floats and flies, With the subtle shadows, the change - the sheen That plays in the golden hair of a girl".

About Lucinda Leveille
Lucinda Leveille attended the National Art School in Sydney graduating with a Fine Arts Degree and has been a full time artist for many years working from her studio on the rim of the Gold Coast Hinterland.
She delves into series-based exploration, drawing inspiration from elements like colour palettes, geographical locales, literature, and seasonal moods. Her artistic journey often revolves around a central motif—the horizon line—which imbues her pieces with a timeless and solitary essence.
