Looking Up
Acrylic on Canvas
"Looking Up" features a stunning tree I discovered on a farm in Murwillumbah. I couldn't resist sneaking onto the property with my dog, Enzo, to snap some photo references. The shape and foliage of the tree from a distance, reminds me of the 'Tree of Life'.
I love playing with perspective in my artwork and often use similar shots for my paintings. The scene, with the palm tree in the foreground and sunlight filtering through the leaves, brings back memories of my childhood, lying under trees, lost in my imagination. I hope this painting takes you back to those simple, carefree moments of 'looking up' and enjoying nature.
Size: 95 × 125 cm

About Leesa Livermore
With a background in graphic design and illustration, I've honed my skills in various industries, with art always being a constant passion. Recently, I've transitioned to working primarily with acrylics. Mentored by Andy Remainis, a respected artist in the Murwillumbah region, I've been influenced to capture the vibrant landscapes and structures of the Northern Rivers. My work celebrates the everyday beauty of the Tweed Valley, drawing inspiration from local flora and architecture. Through my art, I aim to convey a sense of connection to place, inviting viewers to see the world from an impressionistic/realistic perspective.
