Luna is a 3 year old Wolfhound x American Staffordshire cross, who became a part of the McDonald family after being rescued from the RSPCA as a 12 week old puppy. Luna, although big in size, is big in heart. She is an enormous softy, who loves nothing better than being a couch potato, enjoying snuggles, cuddles, pats and playtime with anyone who will look at her. Luna also has a goofy sense of humour and goes out of her way to cheer others up. So much so, that the artist ("Aunty Karyn") formed a special bond with Luna in 2023, when faced with the trauma of caring for her then partner who was very ill with cancer. Through dedicated daily walks and playtime together, the two became best friends, helping Aunty Karyn through some very stressful and emotionally challenging times. Luna has become the best anti-depressant in the world!

About Karyn McDonald
Born in Brisbane, 1973, Karyn McDonald is a Queensland based artist, specialising in paintings and ceramics. Karyn holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from QCA (Queensland College of Art); a Diploma of Visual Art and a Bachelor of Teaching and has honed her skills from over 32 years as a practising artist across several different mediums, styles and genres.
Karyn has produced a vast and diverse array of artworks, combining formal education and natural talents to create numerous artworks, many of which have been privately commissioned, included in several exhibitions and sold to various collectors around the world.
