In recent times I have been exploring the relationship between visual art and music. I have ‘composed’ this painting to express my experience of the Australian bush.. most particularly the bush of Girraween National Park. I hope that “Rondo No. 1 in Yellow Minor” might touch a 'chord' with other people.

I can clearly recall my first painting. It was of an aeroplane that I saw on a preschool excursion to Madang airport in the early 1960's. Since then, painting has been my favourite pastime, apart from listening to great music and bushwalking.
