Selfie at the Snowies
Watercolour
Throughout my life I have been artistically motivated, with a desire to learn through attending workshops and educational courses in order to challenge myself and acquire new skills. I have experimented with different media but feel that with watercolour painting I am
able to express my personality. I love the soft, translucency of watercolour and the element of uncertainty. My focus is on attention to detail in all the art works that I produce. Painting is like meditation for me as I become so totally absorbed in my work.
When I first arrived in Australia in 1993 I was taken with the beauty and wildness of the countryside, particularly the changing light, colour and shadows on the Brindabella Hills leading to the Snowy Mountains in Canberra. I have since moved to subtropical Queensland and have embraced the lusciousness of the flora and the beauty of the ever changing seascape.
