Philippa Storey
The Dawn of Hope

Oil

When the night seems bleak and there seems to be nothing going right, remember there is hope that comes with a new dawn. Just wait it out and then lift your eyes to the rising sun and be bathed in the baptismal glow of rebirth. This artwork of the sunrise over Fairy Bower hopefully captures the calmness of that feeling.

Size: 125 × 64 cm

About Philippa Storey

Philippa Storey was born in Canada and came to Australia in 1987 as a professional singer/songwriter. Her first job was singing on a cruise ship where she met one of the officers and married him 3 months later after a joke started their whirlwind romance. Turning to the business world, she excelled in marketing and corporate training. It was only after retiring that Philippa found a different outlet for her creative abilities, and progressed from travel sketching in late 2018 to acrylic painting, watercolours, and then oil painting. In 2022 she was a finalist in the Doyles.
