The next chapter
Oil on canvas
Here I wanted to recreate a tender moment between father and son. As parents we nurture our children by keeping the safe, warm and loved; at the same time we nurture their minds and teach them so many things. A father shapes his son to be the best he can be, in a way writing his own next chapter.
Size: 30 × 40 cm

About Megan Woodfine
My name is Megan Woodfine, I am an artist living in Runaway bay.
I create oil paintings in which I try to capture a feeling or state of being. I love for my work to resonate with the viewer and for them to empathise with the subject. My paintings are usually of an ambiguous time period, playing with renaissance settings with hidden accents of modern life. I wish to communicate a similarity between all people across time and space in the way we live and feel.
