We're travelling our favourite backroad to Stanthorpe. Eastern rosellas shriek, scattering in exploding shards of kaleidoscopic colour , mute eucalypts draped in cloaks of spiralling bark hug the roadside in intimate avenue's embrace. Cattle meander where they will, unknowingly fulfilling the prophecies of the "cattle on road "warning signs. A whiptail wallaby keenly monitors our approach, preparing for flight.
This is Australia!

Born (Toowoomba 1953 )
I am a self taught emerging artist living in Ipswich and specialising in landscapes and portraits. Starting eighteen months ago at 71 following a 50 year hiatus after a brief foray into painting in my early twenties.
I create works delighting in colour, telling stories through the placement of animals and people in the landscape often appearing individually isolated but forming part of a coherent bigger picture connected by space and time.
Extensive outback and Australian travels have rendered me in awe of our great battered land and all within it, especially those working the land.
