Living in Tallai, my sanctuary, holds a deep, personal significance. After the passing of my dear mother, I moved here and often feel a profound sense of peace in this serene landscape. The magnetic pull of this place draws me back each time I am away, reminding me that no matter where I go, nothing compares to the sanctuary I have found here. This piece, "Bushland Sanctuary," is created on canvas using acrylic paint and impasto techniques. It captures the unique textures of our Australian trees, with their bark gracefully shedding. The composition emphasizes the trees as the focal point, standing out in sharp relief while the rest of the forest recedes into the background, inviting the viewer into this tranquil haven.
