This work celebrates the simple vessels that I love and paint repeatedly. I chose to give each one their own moment of glory, whilst being part of the whole. Like three friends, together but unique and, sometimes, needing their own space and identity.

Heidi Emma Mullender is an oil painter based in the Margaret River Region of Western Australia, whose work captures the quiet beauty of everyday scenes through still life and landscape. Her paintings invite viewers to pause and reconnect with moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Her oil paintings are known for their lightness and restraint—layered with soft, tonal shifts and a considered use of colour that creates a sense of calm. With a focus on tonal impressionism, her work balances realism and painterliness: forms resolve from a distance, while up close, expressive brushwork and texture bring each piece to life.
